Week 7

It's been a busy week trying to implement my project and the students were especially nervous because of the changing weather. Spring was here but we went back to winter some days ago. I had to finish this week with the webquest because next week  4th grades goes on a fied trip for 3 days so I won't seen them until the following week.


Today we worked the whole class, 25 students, 10 years old,  with laptops typing their info about night animals and pasting a photo. They were busy , but at the same time they had lots of questions and some problems when saving documents. I think I needed some help in the class but I managed to help everybody, or so I think. My students wanted sticking their projects to the Padlet so badly that they typed faster then ever. The surprise was finding a "new" animal in my project it was a contribution by Kayyum Khan, I don't think my students had time to see it so I'll show them on Tuesday because Monday is a holiday, before they go on their "3 day holidays".

    Hello Angels,

    What a fast and nice application of Padlet to your class and project.

    Do you have any sort of filter to prevent pop ups or adult-content sites for the children? if yes, has it affected the authorised applications in anyway?

      Hi Luis,
      Our school district has filters so I trust them, but you never know. Some websites cannot be opened in school but so far everything is OK.

    Hi Angels,

    You seem very busy with your students. Your students look happy and interested in the new tools. You are lucky to have students to try the tools with. My students are taking their exams and unfortunately I had to do a project plan only on paper. I can’t wait for the new year to collect them so I will invite some of them to come to school after the exams.
    It is also strange that you start winter and I start summer here in Egypt.

    Hi Said,

    Yes, I'm very busy but happy. We startes Spring with good weather but suddenly we had snow in the mountains again. I had my summer clothes ready but I had to add a sweater and long sleeve again . In a few days Spring will be back and it means hot temperatures and sun again.
